How this page works

This is an evolving record of the engagement, co-design and inspiration that’s leading the development of our neighbourhood strategy.

The Green Loop Common Plan is an ongoing summary of creative workshops held with our Neighbourhood Designers, their site visits, and sessions led by various design experts that help devise project proposals for the local area. It is also where identified funding is recorded, ideal partnerships and potential opportunities or challenges. Our hope is that any one organisation can use this resource as a springboard for their own public realm improvements, and work with us to help weave in the Camden Green Loop missions.

The Climate Community is a sub-group of businesses who are committed to reducing their impact on the environment. 61% of the boroughs emissions are estimated to come from business buildings. Businesses therefore have a responsibility to work towards net zero - the Climate Community is here to reduce that burden by working collaboratively and with a cohesive direction.

Who we are

We’re an alliance of four non-profit organisations with separate boards but shared staff: Camden Town Unlimited, Euston Town, Camden Collective and the Camden Highline.

We began in 2006 as Camden Town Unlimited, a business improvement district, later joined by Euston Town, a similar organisation for Euston. Around 2009 we realised that our unique position and relationships meant we could lead ambitious social projects; using the BIDs as a launching platform for sister charities, first Camden Collective and now the Camden Highline.

Camden Collective supports start-up businesses by transforming vacant buildings into free work, retail and community spaces, and is where we cut our teeth on the use of vacant spaces. Find out more.
